Hello! It's been a quiet Sunday....the most action I encountered was going out for pizza with my Mom, Sister, and Brother-In-Law. This weekend was their 10 year anniversary and they decided to go (somewhere, not sure, maybe Laconia) to try gliding. Like those gliding planes you soar with the wind. Certainly something I would never do. Not that I'm afraid of heights, but I get motion sickness easily. So anyways, at the pizza place, they told us all about it......I stole a picture from my sister's facebook account to show you what it looks like.....a plane with a motor pulls the glider up, up, up to 5,000 feet and then the person in the glider lets go of the tether cord to the motored plane and glides......hang on, let me get that facebook picture.....
So anyways, like I said, this is something I would never do in a million years. Especially for a price of $150 per person for a half hour of gliding......I got better things to spend my money on than to fly with the birds.......
Monday was low keyed too. But you will be proud of me, I did make it to the gym and worked out on two machines, one was the treadmill for 1 mile.....somehow I just can't make it to the two mile mark......and the second machine tried to kill me within 10 minutes.......I'm going to try to find a picture of this exercise machine on the internet........grrrrr....I can't find the picture online.....I'm sure it's a brand new equipment they just developed this year, but it's similar to this one.......
This machine (actually this one picture is extremely the same one), anyways, the lowest time you can punch into this machine (the one I used had an electronic dashboard to put your weight, age, distance, how long do you want to go till you heartbeat is thru the roof!!!) Anyways, the lowest time you can do this for (according to the dashboard minimum time limit) is 10 minute. So I was thinking, "Okay, 10 minutes on this, I've never tried it, what could go wrong?" The "what could go wrong" on a exercise machine that I've never tried before was my first mistake. UGH. I did it....the full 10 minutes, and not only was I working up a solid sweat, but the heart beat monitor said my heart rate was at 172 beats per minute!!!! And no, it wasn't wrong. It tried to kill me. After 10 minutes, I looked at the lady next to me (sweaty lady on the same machine next to me) and said, "Holy Moly, 10 minutes on this really kicks your butt!!!" She smiled at me and kept "stepping" away like it was no biggie, or maybe she felt sorry for me, or maybe she was laughing inside at me. Either way, I'm definitely going to try that machine again, I loved it! It burned 550 calories per hour. I'll never make it an hour. Might as well call the paramedics on the push of the "GO" button, but it really burned some calories. So I would definitely classify this machine as a love/hate relationship! LOL!
Okay, moving on, tonight we brought Jake to the park so he can run around. I gave him a semi-bath today. A semi-bath is soap on the paws but just water on the rest of the body to cool him down but I didn't want to soap him up since he has a Doggie Spa appointment on Wednesday at 8am (WHO the hell made THAT appointment at THAT unrealistic time!!!) But I'll try to get him there on time cause I like the owner of the shop to work on Jake and not her assistant and the owner usually works in the morning, so I have to tweak my sleeping schedule to accommodate Jake's Doggie Spa appointment. Sigh......
Other than that.....it was a good day. I'll sign off for now and I'll bug you tomorrow! :) Have a good night! :)
