Well, the day started a little slow....didn't get much done, just typical small errands here and there. And this is after I hit the snooze button three times this morning. Yes, I'm still setting my alarm cause I just don't feel right sleeping the day away and I don't want to allow myself to turn my internal sleeping clock upside down. I still want to sleep at night and be up and be somewhat half productive during the day.
So anyways, the temperature was around the mid 80's here, so it was too hot outside to do anything strenuous. So my sister called me and wanted to know if I wanted to grab some lunch cause she was hungry (so was I since I only had english muffins for breakfast). Now, my sister, she is the princess of coupons. If there is a coupon out there, she will find it. She will surf the net, give away her email address, agree to surveys, all in the name of claiming a coupon. Today, in her email inbox, she had a $5 coupon for TGIFriday's if the tab totalled over $15 dollars. Not bad, huh! So printed that one off and off to TGIFriday's we went. Because she had the More Strips card (or whatever you call that rewards card), we got free homemade chips before our meal. I ordered the "1/2 California Club Sandwich with the Wedge Salad" combo meal and it was super delicious. I would definitely order that again and my sister had a hamburger and fries. So with the two lunches and sodas take away the coupon the tab came to $17 dollars and some cents. Not bad. I should be more involved in hunting out these coupons too now that I'm on a "fixed income". It was nice spending time with my sister....
After lunch, she dropped me off at home and it was Jake time. So I hustled Jake out the door and we hit the road to spend some time in the park. Just as we get there......I realized I left his leash at home. WHAT was I thinking?? All I had was his seat belt harness which can be used at a harness with a leash, but I was "leash-less" (I made that word up). So that's it, it wasn't going to happen again, so we went to the pet store and bought a leash that I can leave in the car and I would never leave it behind again. I have leashes at home, but none in the car. I swear, I got one dog and 10 leashes, just none with me. Yeah, I get ditzy sometimes. But this leash will stay in the car and I use the seat belt harness to stop his rambunctious ways in the car while I'm driving. The seat belt slides thru the opening in the harness and when the seat belt is buckled, he isn't moving, I don't care how much he gives me that "What did I do wrong look". But, anyways, the seat belt harness can be used as a harness to walk him with a leash. I know, I know, over kill, moving on.......
So, first we stop at the park, he's running everywhere - I know him - he's really testing how far this new leash will let him wander away from me. The retractable leash package said 16 feet for a dog under 28 pounds. This 8 pound pooch is only going 16 feet and it's a dead end, but he tried to tug further and it was funny to see him try to get extra slack out of the leash. We left the park and stopped by PetCo where he's got some friends he usually meets there. His girl pal Zoey was there tonight so they said Hi and played in the store. We didn't stay too long as it was approaching 7pm and Jake hasn't had his dinner yet, so the crankiness was soon going to rear its ugly face if I don't feed him. So we left PetCo and came home and dinner was served. And he's in his bed having dreams of his girl friend Zoey and I'm watching TV. So that was a good day overall. It was a great day! So check in tomorrow and see what I'm up too! :) Have a nice night! :)
OH, wanna know where I got Jake's name from......yes, I'm a total 100% classic country music listener.....this is where I got his name from......

Quiet Sunday and Monday
Hello! It's been a quiet Sunday....the most action I encountered was going out for pizza with my Mom, Sister, and Brother-In-Law. This weekend was their 10 year anniversary and they decided to go (somewhere, not sure, maybe Laconia) to try gliding. Like those gliding planes you soar with the wind. Certainly something I would never do. Not that I'm afraid of heights, but I get motion sickness easily. So anyways, at the pizza place, they told us all about it......I stole a picture from my sister's facebook account to show you what it looks like.....a plane with a motor pulls the glider up, up, up to 5,000 feet and then the person in the glider lets go of the tether cord to the motored plane and glides......hang on, let me get that facebook picture.....
So anyways, like I said, this is something I would never do in a million years. Especially for a price of $150 per person for a half hour of gliding......I got better things to spend my money on than to fly with the birds.......
Monday was low keyed too. But you will be proud of me, I did make it to the gym and worked out on two machines, one was the treadmill for 1 mile.....somehow I just can't make it to the two mile mark......and the second machine tried to kill me within 10 minutes.......I'm going to try to find a picture of this exercise machine on the internet........grrrrr....I can't find the picture online.....I'm sure it's a brand new equipment they just developed this year, but it's similar to this one.......
This machine (actually this one picture is extremely the same one), anyways, the lowest time you can punch into this machine (the one I used had an electronic dashboard to put your weight, age, distance, how long do you want to go till you heartbeat is thru the roof!!!) Anyways, the lowest time you can do this for (according to the dashboard minimum time limit) is 10 minute. So I was thinking, "Okay, 10 minutes on this, I've never tried it, what could go wrong?" The "what could go wrong" on a exercise machine that I've never tried before was my first mistake. UGH. I did it....the full 10 minutes, and not only was I working up a solid sweat, but the heart beat monitor said my heart rate was at 172 beats per minute!!!! And no, it wasn't wrong. It tried to kill me. After 10 minutes, I looked at the lady next to me (sweaty lady on the same machine next to me) and said, "Holy Moly, 10 minutes on this really kicks your butt!!!" She smiled at me and kept "stepping" away like it was no biggie, or maybe she felt sorry for me, or maybe she was laughing inside at me. Either way, I'm definitely going to try that machine again, I loved it! It burned 550 calories per hour. I'll never make it an hour. Might as well call the paramedics on the push of the "GO" button, but it really burned some calories. So I would definitely classify this machine as a love/hate relationship! LOL!
Okay, moving on, tonight we brought Jake to the park so he can run around. I gave him a semi-bath today. A semi-bath is soap on the paws but just water on the rest of the body to cool him down but I didn't want to soap him up since he has a Doggie Spa appointment on Wednesday at 8am (WHO the hell made THAT appointment at THAT unrealistic time!!!) But I'll try to get him there on time cause I like the owner of the shop to work on Jake and not her assistant and the owner usually works in the morning, so I have to tweak my sleeping schedule to accommodate Jake's Doggie Spa appointment. Sigh......
Other than that.....it was a good day. I'll sign off for now and I'll bug you tomorrow! :) Have a good night! :)

Hampton Beach And Good Company
Tonight we went to Hampton Beach (Jake, I, Mom, and Dad). We have family that that lives at Hampton Beach (my Dad's brother which would be my uncle and aunt). So we parked the Kia on their property and went for a walk around Hampton Beach.......I'm happy I grabbed my camera and got some shots on how Hampton Beach looks in it's reconstruction period........
Well, we had a good time and I'm glad i got a lot of pictures......tomorrow we have some business to take care of (that I won't mention on here )......if anything else exciting happens tomorrow, I'll be back to tell you all about it! :) Have a good day!
Here's the Information Center to Hampton Beach, New Hampshire
They made some new outdoor showers for people to rinse off their feet and the drain isn't working and the gravity is taking the water down the walkway.....they will have to fix that...
Tonight (Wednesday nights) is fireworks nights at 9:30 We didn't stay that long to watch the fireworks (I personally never cared for fireworks)
This is the Hampton Beach boulevard....for a Wednesday night it was quiet busy.....
This is the new concert area under construction.....someday it will be done....and very nice to visit
Another view of the Hampton Beach boulevard.....
Jake is enjoying his visit....sniffing everything he comes across.....
These are new seating area.....very nice area....seems they have more benches....
Lockers are available for your convenience - Not sure how much they cost to rent.....
Another outdoor shower area.....
And again, another clogged up drain so the water is gravitating towards the parking lot.....
Did you expect anything else LOL!
This is the temporary concert area until they finish the bigger one that is currently under construction....
We are back at my Uncle and Aunt's house (walking distance to the beach) They bought this at a flea market....I liked it.....
Time to play some games in the yard.....I think I won....but not sure.... :)
Man! Sooooo close!!!!
Look real close - Jake pointed out that there was a real live bunny under the chair.... Jake wanted to introduce himself, but for me, it was a bad idea.... :)
Poor Jake is falling asleep......
Then we played another game.....not sure what it was called, but the point is to get to 21 points :)
