Happy Spring 2012

Ahhhhhh, spring is here and you know what that means! :) Flowers are growing, birds are sings, yes, and it's time for shopping and shopping is what I did. I start this spring's blog entry with a pair of new 2012 Earth Spirits sandals, which was the same brand as the old ones I was using last year, but these new ones just came out in store and I'm breaking down the door to get, not only get one, but two pairs! They are sooooo comfy. I'm tell you, if you want to walk around like you are walking on a soft cushion clouds all day, this are the shoes to do that in. My old pair of sandals I used in Florida, Texas, Yuma, Laughlin, Las Vegas, and everywhere else! I sure put alot of miles on the sandals and it was time for a 2012 upgrade, let me show you:

After that Jake and I went to the lake to hang around and I gave him a small haircut that he needed, he was getting quite shaggy. So here he is relaxing:

Then we went for a walk near the lake :)

Monday....Beginning Of A New Week...

Well, I couldn't think of a solid title for this blog posting, so instead of taking up time thinking of a title, I'll snap off a simple title and put more time into the blog posting itself......Okay, this walking program that's I've joined is really working out well.....today we walked a dirt path over at Lake Massabesic in Auburn, New Hampshire.....it wasn't too bad....alot more people showed up for this walk......very enjoyable. Alot of the walkers (okay, I admit, 90% of them are retired seniors) are warming up to me (being a newbie to the group) and today they invited me to join a few of them at Burger King where they stop after the walk for a 53 cent coffee......I love retirees, I really do. They really know how to get the more out of life with just a few pennies, I'm learning from the best! :)

Anyways, it's getting colder out and I have to get some of my warmer clothes out......I'm always cold, but below 70 degrees, I'm freezing. So I dug out a few sweatshirts, jackets, extra thick socks. I sent one jacket to an alteration place today because the pocket was ripped, I'm really trying to save this jacket. So I was happy when the lady at the alteration place said she could re-enforce the lining, replace the pocket, and clean the jacket for $20 bucks. Jackpot there! :)

This afternoon I didn't do too much, hung out with Jake and got some errands done. It's been a quiet night......I'm going to try to extent my morning routine into tomorrow and go to the gym, the Pandora app on my Blackberry has been a real help to for me with walking and motivation.

Car Show (again)

Today was a pretty easy day........another low keyed day. This afternoon we went to a local (very little and local) car show just for something to do. It was held at the Goldenrod's Restaurant and I got some pictures.......

I like going to car shows cause the cars are usually always different from car show to car show.....there is a car show coming up this Saturday.....we will see if I make it to that one. But you never know what you might come across for old cars and entertainment. There were having a 50/50 raffle but I didn't participate since the dark clouds were moving in and it was about to rain......

After the car show, we stopped at the lake to let Jake run around......the water in the lake was really rocky and rough........I got pictures....... :)

Got back in the car just in time......starting to rain.....

It was a typical low keyed day....and tomorrow Jake has Doggie Spa Day in the morning and I'm not sure what we are doing the rest of the day. It's always a surprise with an unscheduled day! :) I love it!

Time At The Lake

Today, Jake and I took a little trip over to our local lake to spend some time near the water. I thought it would be a bit breezier over at the lake, but turned out to be just at hot as the inner city. But we walked around and I snapped some pictures. We spent about 1 hour over there and decided to head home to the AC again......Here are some pictures of our visit to the lake today.....I love my new camera! :)
