Today we were up at 6:30. I never get up at 6:30am, it was still dark out and I shouldn't be up when it's dark out LOL! Yard sale started at 8am and going around this house collecting everything to take with me, Jake, Jake stuff, Jake food, camera, Blackberry, and charger cause my battery dies every two hours.....ugh! Put everything in the car and the lawn chairs. Off we go!
We get to my cousin's house where the yard sale is being held and I, personally, couldn't ask for better weather. So crack open the trailer and drag everything out and set it up on tables and set stuff on the ground all priced tagged. Yep, we are organized, we went to the bank yesterday to break big bills to a majority of dollars and fives and two rolls of quarters. We are ready! Or we thought.......
We get all set up and sit down and the waiting game starts.......where were the cars, the people, the spenders??? So someone had mentioned (no me, I'm not that smart LOL!) that we should park one of our cars on the side of the main road in front of the property so people driving by will see "someone" stopped at this yard sale. Think I'm crazy, huh?! Well, it worked! It's a mental thing with you people, after we parked our car on the side of the road, we've had cars stopping, two or three cars at a time. Got that people reading this, if you are going to have a yard sale, make sure your car is parked in a location where someone think "they" stopped to check out the yard sale and since "they" are there, there must be some pretty good deals there so they stop, and then the next person stops, like a domino effect. I'm not saying I'm the one that thought of this genius idea, I'm just tell you it works! :) Okay, moving on......want pictures?? Ok.........
So from my personal opinion, we had a successful yard sale and in 10 years from now after accumulating more junk......I'll be more than happy to have another yard sale. That really was fun. Jake was there the whole time, all day supervising like a champ, he was the official greeter to everyone that walked in the yard. :)
My personal profit was from a bicycle, a bicycle trainer, a stereo and speakers (I'm sure I had this stereo when I was 7 years old, it's got a record player on top and an 8 deck thingy on the front.) Boy, that was an old stereo.......so total made for me was $37 dollars. I get to take home my treadmill and my ski racks that I didn't sell there and put it on Craigslist tomorrow. I'm a happy girl today! :) Hope you have a nice weekend. I'll give you a hint of what we are doing tomorrow: A local fair is in town.......I'm bringing my camera! :)

Pre Yard Sale Preperations
We are having yard sale on Saturday (you all should know this by now, huh HA!), anyways, Dad and I went up to where the yard sale will be held and price tagged 90 percent of the items. During the yard sale when we pull out the items onto the yard, then we will go thru the remaining items in the trailer to tag and display. I got pictures! :)
So, I'm might go thru some of the stuff I have here at home to add to the Yard Sale but not sure if I can part with any of them.......maybe a few books.....I could part with a few books, hmmmmm, Jake's got one dog bed he doesn't use (yes, he has more than one doggie bed), that might be it, but I'll look around. Well, this is all I have for you for now, I'll be back! :)

Meandering Thru The Week
I don't have too much action packed news tonight. We are having a yard sale on Saturday and I've been going thru alot of stuff that I didn't even know I still had. One of those, "Hey, THAT'S where that is!!" moments. Stuff I packed away years ago and forgot I had or I knew I had but didn't know where I put it. I mean, I found a Polaroid camera!!! Oh boy, they don't even make film for Polaroid camera anymore and this company in Denmark took over making Polaroid film under another name and you can buy the Black and White cartridge for $24 for 8 pictures! So just when I think I have an outdated valuable camera on my hands, you can't even buy film for it without losing your house over it. I mean, that is ridiculous, and my Polaroid is useless, but guess what, I'll but a price tag on it and set it out in the yard sale.
A few other things I've come across: A (useless but interesting) business card from my days as a travel agent in 1996......noooo not 2006.....1996!!! That went in the trash. Oh boy.... BUT, I did find a jacket I've been looking for for the past three of four years that I was praying and hoping I didn't give it to the Goodwill where all my other clothes I don't want goes to. I was so happy to find this jacket I got back in.......oh, we are talking back in 1998 or 1999.....anyways, it's a Hilton Las Vegas jacket and I love it. The inside pocket and lining inside is a tad ripped from wear and tear, but I'm going to get it fixed and wear it. It's got three Flamingos on the back and says "Hilton Las Vegas" in the front. It's from the Flamingo casino. That's an oldie but goodie. No, that's not going in the yard sale, I don't care how much they want it for.
Okay, next I found a box of "Pocket Dragons". Do you remember these little guys, I use to collect these back in 1997, I can't part with them, I just can't.......I must have about 10 of them.....here's pictures of my favorite pocket dragons in case you don't know what they are (yes they are cute little statues)......
I have many more, but I can't part with them, so I'll keep them for eternity :) I have always been a long time fan of "Pocket Dragons" and I even have the two books that tells me when each were released and the date the stopped releasing each of them, you know, like in a series. So what AM I going to sell at this yard sale?? I have a treadmill, I have a mountain bicycle, I have a bicycle rack to put on a vehicle, I have a ski rack to put on the top of an SUV, and some other little stuff I want to unload. I'll take plenty of pictures of the yard sale on Saturday, but tomorrow I'm bring up some stuff from my house to add to the yard sale collection. So, my day today wasn't that exciting, but I found some long lost treasures that takes me back to the year Nineteen Ninety Something........ :) Have a great night, I'll bug you tomorrow! :)
