Jake, Lunch, and Sports

Hi! Okay, I'm going to fly thru this blog posting since I know I'm gonna touch on alot of different topics tonight. First off, real quick, to make sure we are all on the same page as to know who I am. I'm a social butterfly who loves to go out socializing and if it involves a sports topic, well, I'm sold on it. LOL! I've been dappling (yeah right), okay, more like seriously hooked on the ESPN "Streak for the Cash" (don't let your imagination get away from you here), it's a series of professional sports game that are lined up for you to choose the team that will win. So, the point of the game is to picking winners of games and build a streak of wins. I have been addicted to game since Oct 2009 (yeah, 2009, that's not a typo LOL!) and still today, I hit up the website at a of minimum 3 times a day to work on building my streak (yes, it's free). Here's My Profile on that site to let you see what the heck I'm talking about :) So for all of you that don't care about sports, you can just jump down to the next paragraph (hmmmm, should of said that in the beginning huh) LOL!

Okay moving on! Let's hop over to what I did this morning. I met up with my walking group and brought some company with me. Yep, a little someone wanted to walk with me this morning at 41 degrees out, that might of seemed cold out, but the sun really helped alot to feel warm. Don't think I didn't debate about bring him out with me. I thought for sure I would have to carry him half way thru the walk (maybe I don't give him enough credit). He was great, a real trooper! :) Our walk started at a recreational building and walked towards a cemetery and back. I didn't feel like walking around in the cemetery and since this was Jake's first walk (literary his first walk before noon - spoiled brat), he handled it well, and lead the way the whole time. We walked to the cemetery and turned around to return to the car (two blocks north, around the block, and two blocks south (back to the car) took 36 minutes. It was great getting out of the house this morning and getting some fresh air with Jake. All these pictures were taken with my Blackberry, but they  didn't come out too too bad at all. When we got back home, Jake was tired and decided to take advantage of his hammock on the porch.
Time for my morning nap after my walkies :)
Staying in the order that my day was moving in, I decided to clean out the inside of my car. Everything that comes thru the front seat in my hands gets flinged to the back seat. Old mail, magazines, empty cups, Dunkin Donuts paper bags, oh yeah, a real mess.......I try not to let it take over the car, so I have to fight back and get some plastic bags to clean up the car every once in a while. I mean, this time it has gotten to the point that no one could sit in the back seat. I had books, mail, magazines, blankets, two sweatshirts (you know, you take them off when you don't need them anymore and swing them onto the back seat.) Yep, me, guilt! :) So I cleaned it all out, nothing went back in except Jake bed and his seat belt harness, a leash, and a long lost umbrella that I finally found in that SUV. Of course I got a picture........ :)

Yes, this was taken with my Blackberry, but I had to show you! :)
See that "What am I doing in the back seat?" look right there LOL!
Moving on, I had the pleasure of having lunch with friend today. I always look forward to this outing since anyone can get a hold of anyone via email and texting, but when it comes to actually taking time out of your day to physically spend quality time with someone.......yeah, it's called Friendship. We both may be busy (well more busy on my part), but to make the commitment to say "No matter what, we will have lunch once a month to play catch up on what's going on now" And let me tell you, my "now" changes every month. "Now" I'm doing this, "Now" I'm doing that, "Now I'm playing poker" "Now I won tickets to "BlogPaws 2012 in Salt Lake City" and I want to tell you all about it in person NOW. The friendship that can't be replaced by any email service in the world, is the friendship I cherish. SO, we went to lunch today (our October lunch) :) and the conversation just flowed and flowed and we even ordered dessert without a second thought. Lots of laughing, and more laughing! Out lunch outings never seem to last less than 3 hours. Talking, talking, and more talking. I love it! :) Oh, I did mention dessert right.......

So I'll end with that dessert picture. it was delicious. Guilt-free! LOL! Hope you have a great night, bug you tomorrow! :)

Jake, we love your car seat and also like your little hammock. You look so comfortable in that! We think that our bottom would fit on that, but not our whole big body, cause we're Bernese Mountain Dogs! LOL! x

Wish we lived closer cause our Mom would love to join your big walking group. Then she would want to take a nap like you did after! x

x The Berner Girls

(We're very impressed with how clean you got your car!)
